The Loop of Societal Panhandlers

The never ending cycle.

Government Assistance Help Us Please

The United States of America is now the Panhandling America. The once great country is now nothing, but a country that gives out free handouts. The country founded on hard work ethics and the American Dream now provides for the people at the expense of hard workers.

The benefits used to provide a helping hand to people going through tough times are now being taken advantage of by the lazy. The New York Housing Authority (NYCHA) which was primarily created for veterans to reintegrate into society is now nothing more than a building filled with drug addicts lurking within the stairwells, and people who stay utilizing the benefits at the expense of other hardworking taxpayers. The residents within NYCHA are constantly in contact with police due to either domestic violence, or drug activity within the building. Drugs are sold within the building, and drug addicts roam the building. Feces are constantly within the stairwells as people use their own residence stairwells as the toilet at times. Robberies happen quite often within the complexes and the surrounding areas.

Somehow a system that was created to help get people out of poverty now holds majority of people at poverty for a long duration of time. The purpose of low-income housing was to ultimately get you out of the situation people claimed to be in; however, people now live there generation after generations yet they still claim to be under-privileged.

They develop a habit of crisis. Every encounter with them includes the telling of a tale of woe, wherein they are helpless and without solution, except by someone else’s intervention. — Martin Vidal

Society constantly argues that they are in a situation of helplessness and without solution, yet they do everything in their favor to deny the fact that they are the problem.

Food stamps which was also used as a way to help families with their spending and help them elevate their financial status - by providing them capital, so that they can save up their money to do better things is now nothing but a way to take advantage of hardworking taxpayers. Again, people have food stamps generations after generations. My family actually had food stamps for a few years, and we moved out of that quite fast… same with the Obama-phone.

We are now in a state of no-return where if you took away those benefits, you’ll either be classified as a fascist, racist, or a Republican. People have to realize that free handouts are detrimental to humanity. When people become lazy, they become a lost-soul. When people become lazy, the progress of humanity slows down dramatically. We should definitely help people in need as there are people who come under terrible circumstances; however, all these benefits need to be managed correctly. Regulations and compliance need to be better correlated. There shouldn’t be people within these programs that are spewing out billions of dollars generation after generation. If you do not take advantage of the privilege you were given, you should not have access to these benefits anymore.

If you claim to be under-privileged yet you’re redeeming these benefits, you definitely need to be more grateful and be more accountable/responsible for your actions that kept you in the same situation for generations.

All in all, it’s definitely not a terrible concept to take advantage of the government; however, when people complain constantly about being underprivileged, that’s where the problem kicks in.

  1. You are privileged to have access to these benefits.
  2. If you are incapable of getting out of poverty with these benefits, reflect. It might be more of a spending issue.
  3. If you’re claiming the situation of too many kids, why did you have so many in the first place?
  4. If you’re claiming the situation of underprivileged, how did you receive these benefits that people pray for?
  5. What have you done to better your life?
  6. Are you spending over your means?

Remember, society does not owe you anything. No one owes you anything, poverty is a choice and definitely associated with the mindset.

Question is: the people asking for help, would they help others back by not hogging the benefits for too long?
